Needle Free IVF

Intensive injections that are involved in the IVF treatment may be stressful and uncomfortable for most patients. Needle-free IVF offers a more comfortable alternative by reducing the number of needle sticks required during an IVF cycle. Needle free IVF does not compromise on safety or effectiveness.

This new method of medication is designed to make IVF injections easier, especially for patients who experience anxiety or discomfort with daily injections.

What Is Needle-Free IVF?

Needle-free IVF is a procedure of administering IVF medications through a small subcutaneous infusion device instead of making frequent injections. A soft cannula is inserted slightly under the skin (under abdomen) and stays there a few days hence the medication is able to be given to an individual through tubing instead of using a needle each time.

The needle is inserted only once during the initial insertion and then it automatically retracts, hence patients do not experience repeated needle injections throughout their stimulation phase.

How Does Needle-Free IVF Work?

Needle-free IVF is a new method of infertility treatment that delivers IVF medications without traditional injections. Needle-free fertility treatment can provide a more comfortable, stress-free alternative using more sophisticated pressure-based technology and still being effective like any other IVF protocol.

1. Preparation

Washing of hands is done and an alcohol swab is used to cleanse a suggested area of application, which is usually the lower abdomen. The area is left to dry fully in order to maintain proper hygiene and to guarantee proper placement.

2. Device Setup

Remove the adhesive backing carefully, ensuring the adhesive surface is not touched or contaminated. Gently remove the safety cap using minimal force. The device remains sterile and is ready for use.

3. Application

The device is applied on clean dry skin. A soft cannula is made to be inserted softly once, and then the internal mechanism will automatically retract and delivering medication without visible needles. The adhesive is pressed gently so that it is comfortable and stable.

4. Medication Delivery

Tubing is primed with saline to remove air. The tubing is connected and then the pre-filled medication syringe is attached. The correct dose is given precisely and safely, with a saline flush afterward to ensure full delivery.

5. Completion & Storage

Upon administration, disconnection and capping of tubing takes place. It does not have to be kept in between doses and may be effectively stored for reuse as directed during the treatment cycle.
